Dog licking the air compulsively for 3 days

For about 3 days in a row my dog has been licking the air compulsively. She does have a new bag of food... but it's food she has had in the past. Just mentioning it in case the food is bad? Not feeling well?

I read online some dogs just do this to cope with anxiety but all of the sudden?

Any ideas?

Call your vet, ask for advice, don't wait.

This happened to our dog, yes it happens that fast. If there were signs before we did not see them. He was our first larger high energy dog. We thought he must of hit his head when we were at work and was brain damaged. The change was instant and unbelievable. There are many stages of anxiety. Our dog was a serve case. You will need to see vet , medication may be needed. Find lots and lots of mental stimulation games and start today. Internet is full of ideas. Stop feeding from a bowl and start making your dog work for his food. Increase physical exercise also. Our dog had fear anxiety. Your dog may not have the same problem as ours either way Mental exercise is always good for a dog.
