Dog ear infection

My German Shephard had an ear infection recently and we've been cleaning his ear with micellar solution and another liquid from the vet. Now his ear looks better but has developed some scabbing on the out side of the ear, we though it was just getting hard from wax and such coming out of his ear. It looks bad now. But he doesn't really seem bothered.

Yeah so the ear cleaner from my vet called Epi-otic has lactic & salicyclic acid in it. It's wet but dries the ear out when it dries becos infections love moist environments to breed. However, if it gets on the flap it can get too dry, pink etc so you can put a dog safe treatment on just the flap. Like aloe vera or even a moisturiser. Bearing in mind, my dog sticks her feet in her ears & then licks them, so dont be fooled thinking she cant lick her ears so its ok to put something on them that cant be orally ingested, coz it can still end up in their mouths.
