I'm sorry to hear that. Will the vet do payments? Or do they have some sort of credit care or something like that. I forget what it is called. $400 isn't bad, my cat had pyometra the surgery was over $1000. But I know if you don't have it you don't have it. Hopefully they will work with you.

I know some vets do care credit or something like that. I've never used it, but it's based on your credit score. You'd have to ask your vet about it. Maybe call some shelters or human societies. They may be able to help you or point you in the right direction.

Did you ask about the care credit, I'm not sure if that is the name. I've heard so humane societies offering help for people in need. But again, I'm not 100% sure, I've never used it.

i looked into care credit and was denied as theres unsufficient evidence of credit.. im the type of person who prefers to buy everything on cash so ive never developed a credit history as ive never had a card or taken a loan as i hate the idea of owing anyone money

anyway, so an animal rescue group just called, said they spoke with our local vet who we took the dog to earlier and covered the costs of the treatment, she will probably go in for surgery tomorrow... if this is on the up and up, when im financially more stable i will have to donate back at least as much as this surgery cost

unfortunately with my dad dying last year and having to make an emergency move halfway across the country to aid family, it's left me with barely enough money to live on

Sounds like you, your brother and the Vet need to work out some way to pay for her medical needs. She has always been there for you, as you said, now its your turn. Between you, your brother and the Vet, there has to be a way to work it out.

Easier said than done sometimes. Many vets do not do payments. I know around here it is really rare and if it is done it's case by case. But he said a group has talked to the vet and offered to help, so lets hope it all works out.
