Dog ate rotten eggs

We have a 90 lb senior Goldendoodle named Rax who recently got into a bucket of old, rotten chicken eggs taken from a hidden nest. We're not sure how many he ate, but it could have been over 20 of them. It was this morning, and he has thrown up at least three times (very smelly and yellow, liquidy). He doesn't want to eat or move, is burping and his gas is really smelly. I'm hoping it just passes with some diarrhea.
We are keeping him comfortable, loved and offering water to keep him hydrated. Anything to worry about other than an upset stomach for a day or so? Anything we can do that will make him feel better?

Thanks so much.

i'd see a vet or at least call one. Rotten eggs, salmonella comes to mind. You may have a sick dog on your hands.

We're keeping a close watch on him, but thankfully he went out and diarrhed, he seems to be feeling better. If things get worse then we'll certainly be going to the vet.
Thank you!

We took Rax to the vet today and it turns out he might have pancreatitis. He is on supportive care here at home and may or may not make it. Pray for our big boy.

He past away just a few minutes ago, peacefully, with his best friend (my brother) beside him. We had laid him near the fire-place and he seemed very calm. We're going to bury him today, out in the frozen ground. I'm not sure how to react currently, I'm very sad but wondering when he would pass was just so hard.
Our friend, who is a vet, thinks he had an underlying problem. It's nice to know the eggs didn't end his life early, that it was his time. But he was just so happy a few days earlier. At least he didn't have to suffer long.

Thank you for your prayers.

Rest in God's hands Rax. I look forward to seeing you again one day, bouncing around like a puppy in the fields as you always use to.

I'm so sorry! It's always hard when they pass away, but doubly so when it's so sudden. Praying for you!
