Dog acting... odd. Looking for input.

Hey there! First timer here just looking for more dog-mom/dad input out by four-legged friend. I'll cut to the point.

Harley, my now 8 year old Puggle or Pug/Idon'tevenknow has begun acting weird around the same time at night. For a few nights in a row now, she goes to my bedroom door and sits there waiting to be let in. It has been hot, and normally she sits down in the living room area. She has free roam of the house, but never does she. God forbid she be without one of her humans. I'll be told to open my door, and low and behold my dog is there. Climbs into bed and lays down.

While we suspect it's because my room is cooler than the general temp downstairs, it's not a staggering difference. Yesterday we thought it was my health she was sensing, but today that can't be the case.

I'm looking to see if anyone has similar experiences with their dogs. I'm fairly certain it's her just being picky about the heat which is new, but she's getting older so I shouldn't be surprised if she's more picky. At any rate, give me your thoughts.

My now 8yo shep/lab did this last year. Unfortunately, in my case it was my health. He would follow me all the time. I'd use the restroom and when I'd emerge, there he would be laying outside the door. Also outside my bedroom door, the laundry room door. He was always a dog to bear near his people, but this was different. Everything is fine with me now, but if he even looks at me too long I get anxious.
