Can't tell if its ringworm or not

At the last vet visit we found a spot on stella our 2 year old boxer mix. The vet said it might be ring worm and we could just try a cream for that and see if it gets any better. The red color of her skin was fading to white so we thought it was working but now there are these scab like bumps forming. Is this part of the healing or should i take her back to the vet? I have an appointment already set up for later in thee week just trying to make sure i need to keep it

ring worm is very difficult to diagnose in dogs from just looking at a lesion. Could be just about anything... ringworm would frankly be way down on my list of guesses, but anything I suggest would be just that...a guess. There is a great new test for dermatophytes these days- a PCR lab test that many labs can now run overnight... just need some hair samples sent in a jar or tube. No longer takes weeks to properly diagnose this condition!
