Back leg problems

My dog has had a pretty sharp decline over the past month. We've been to the vet several times and we're trying a few things. To me it seems neurological but one thing she's presenting with is intermittent back leg weakness or imbalance. At some moments in the day she's trotting around and later that day she's struggling to climb steps.

Yesterday I noticed that her legs fail during a bowl movement. She gets in the position, holds it for a few seconds, and falls into the sitting position. She then stands up and repositions. But she gets poop all over her.

She's a 12 year old Ridgeback mix and she's 60 lbs.

Any ideas or those who have had similar experiences? We're trying Galliprant right now but we're likely going to a neurologist in the near future. At the very least - how should I clean her fur up without having to bathe her each time she poops?

Getting old sucks.

Lightbulb try a towel, bath-sheet size, or a throw-size blanket FAN-folded

Hoist her bum with an underbelly sling - so she doesn't sit in her poop, but is supported.
