Baby english bull dog Over feed / recognised early ..help! Baby bull dog

So we got our new baby girl she's now 20weeks.
I mistakingly read feed guidelines to be so many grams per portion when it should of been daily.
She was having double daily allowance in two sitting breakfast then tea time.
I realised this yesterday and she has been having this for aprox. 5 wks.
So yesterday started cutting her potions down she gets reg exercise twice a day .morning and evening and plenty of play at home. She is big for her age but hoping noticing it now is good and feel awful! Please can anyone give me advice on getting her on track. I'll keep up excersie if anything bit more.. but food wise please advise. She's on Herrington food as this is what breeder was giving her but open to switch and if i do what to a d how to introduce this without upset?
Many thanks! And please no bad slating I know I'm a bad first time puppy mummy
Learning and have reginosied early! Hopefully..

What I do with food is measure out the daily portion that my dog gets and then feed him that throughout the day. It helps to keep me from over feeding him. You can try doing that, and since your boy is a puppy I'd be feeding him 3x a day now till he is a couple months older then you can switch to 2x a day if that's what you want or continue 3x a day.

To switch his food what you do is over the course of a week slowly remove some of the old food and replace it with the new food. For example, if you were feeding him 1 cup of food per serving the first day you'd take out a teaspoon of the old food and add a teaspoon of the new food, next day you'd do two teaspoons, following day 1/8th cup and so on till you have fully transitioned him to the new food. If his stomach gets upset then stop at whatever point you are in the transition and give him time to adjust before starting back up.

Don't feel bad about making the mistake, we all make them, just enjoy your girl and treasure those puppy moments, they grow out of them way to fast.
