Anyone have a dog with Lupus? And what medications worked?

My dog BABY has Lupus and was diagnosed in November of 2015. We have used many medications to try and keep her Lupus in remission, however, no safe combination has been able to do that. She has been on at one time or another.....Prednisone, Methylprednisolone, Atopica, Azathioprine, Mycophenolate, Pentoxifylline and none of them will keep her Lupus oral lesions and ulcers in remission. The Lupus lesions and ulcers on her feet and rear legs are OK but the oral lesions (soft palate, gums, and inner lip tissue) will not stay in remission or even go into full remission even on high dose steroids.

If someone has tried other medications that have helped Lupus, please let me know so that I can discuss with Derm. Dr.

We are running out of time as she has been on medication since last November

Baby is beautiful pin. We have a minpin that's medically deficient as well.

Have you looked into raw diet as part of treatment? Our pin has been raw fed for over a year and a half, it's a clean diet - no carbs, sugars, wheats/gluten etc.

Unfortunately BABY is so sensitive to just about everything that she cannot tolerate a change in diet. There is a good chance she could be somewhat allergic to the food she is on now but with her Lupus and Pancreatitis, we are limited to a diet that is less than 5% fat. The Derm Dr. tried a hypoallergenic diet that was 6 % fat when we first went there and she nearly died from her lupus erupting on her feet and in her mouth and GI tract causing severe bleeding. And then a couple weeks ago they gave her just 1 small treat and she started bleeding in her GI tract.

In most cases the raw diet may be beneficial, BABY's Lupus is too aggressive and she is just too sensitive to risk it. Thank you for the suggestion, its appreciated
