2 year old has diarrhea for 3 weeks

I have a Siberian husky that is two years old that had a litter of puppies about three weeks ago. Everything went fine with the birth however she has had diarrhea ever since. At first we thought it was the after birth that she had eaten but it has been consistent every since. I gave her some pro bionics for a week and it made a very small improvement however as soon as she went off them it was right back to it.
This is her first litter. I have spoken to the vet (two of them) and they just informed me that they would have done everything the same and that they really don't have any idea what it could be.
I have also spoken with two breeders (one specifically Siberian husky) and they are also baffled. The only suggestion was that she has been eating too much and that maybe the puppy food that she is on is just too rich. she has gone from 2-3 cups a day to about 6 cups a day which I hear is normal.
I switched her over to puppy food two weeks prior and her stool was a little soft, but nothing like this. It was the same brand and same proteins just a puppy/adult formula.
She is eating and drinking "normally".
Any ideas of what might be going on would greatly be appreciated.

I would say its the puppy food, its to high in fat of her. Why did you take her off the probiotics if they were working. You can use kefir or yogurt every day. I would ask the vet if it might be a better idea to switch her back to her regular food as she may become dehydrated from the stomach issues and not be able to take care of the pups.

I took her off of them because i thought she was comming out of it. Well, not exactly took her off. I onnly got a week supply from the vet. I did pick up some over the counter stuff but it doesnt work at all (yet). It would make sense the fat would be causing trouble. all of our siberiens have a low tollerence to fat it seems.
She is drinking a lot to cover the fluid loss but i think its taking a toll. I have already started to wheen at this point.
I will try it and post back here in a week or so.

okay. so I took her in on Friday. The vet ended up giving me a 12lb bag Gatro support food and a month supply of purina flora along with some de-worming meds. They also took a stool sample however I have not heard anything back about that. They really did not have a definitive answer. They suggested it may be worms and treated as such but really did not have any proof as they just got the sample.

she is a tiny bit better. She is more active and she doesn't have to run outside every 1.5 to 2 hours if she even knew it was coming. A couple of times she just woke up and pooped right where she stood.
The consistency is not firm whatsoever. Still very loose but definitely not as bad as before.
After the bag of Gastro support food I placed her back on her adult food. She is no longer nursing.
I will provide any info on what the test shows if anything at all.

So an update. Its a constant battle back and forth. one day firm then right back to very loose.
The worm test came back negative.
They only thing I can think of is that the cleaning of the puppies is upsetting her stomach. we are trying to keep them separated as much as possible however I don't want to ruin any of the mom-puppy development by keeping them separated constantly.
I guess I can only hope things will get better after the 9-10 week period.
She still eats good and is still staying hydrated and those are my two biggest concerns.

You can't let it go on for too long, she will become very de-hydrated, which leads to organ failure. If she were mine, I would try a more bland diet for a period of time, plus get some yogurt into her daily. That will help with that necessary bacterial bloom in her digestive tract.

Yeah, she was eating and drinking fine. there was no worries of de-hydration. We did put her on a bland diet.
We figured it was probably two different things.
First the poop that she was cleaning from the puppies.
Second was the fat content in the puppy food.
Once we removed those two things, everything was fine.

My friends husky just gave birth and she was having the same issues. Quite odd that neither of the vets you visited were able to figure the exact problem out. My friend's husky ended up with pretty bad dehydration as a result of the diarrhea. It was a real scare. Thankfully, the vet noticed this and was able to hook her up to IV in time. Bland diet ended up doing the trick!
