I just stumbled upon this brand and I love it and wanted to share it with everyone! I wonder were to get past seasons designs. So far I've only found them on Amazon and Petsmart, is there a better place to buy them? Any buy beware warnings any one wants to share?
I loved this harness when my girl was a puppy! Unfortunately, she doesn't fit in them anymore. I always bought mine off Amazon bc it was the cheapest place.
Here's their website https://www.puppiaus.com/ I can't say much about the buying experience on it since I've never used them. www.chewy.com does carry A and B style puppia harness in a range of colors https://www.chewy.com/s?query=puppia&nav-submit-button= They are a great company to shop on and there prices are very reasonable. I've had to use their customer service in the past and have had good experiences with them.
For me the Puppia hasrness design seems cheap and lacks adjustability. Especially around the collar area.
Pet Smart's harness selection is fairly dismal (in Toronto). They do carry them of course but they aren't that much better in design than the Puppia harnesses. Though, I did find one cheap flimsy temporarily "cutesy" type harness there. but within a few weeks my then 8 week old Pug pup out grew.
I bought a good one from www.amazon.ca called the TrueLove sold under 2 or 3 other brand names (see here..https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B013B3WCSU/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). Very well made..but still if it would have offered a 2nd layer of adjustment at the collar using velcro that would have made it the perfect harness. Still, I just ordered a 2nd yesterday as a back-up..in case the current one gets wet (e.g. rain/winter). As my dog pops out 4x a day.
I'd love to know of another harness brand of a similar design but with a 2nd level of adjustment at the collar to further tighten it once the harness is on.
I know www.amazon.ca doesn't carry anything better than the one I posted a link to. Probably have to go looking in specialty (hi-end) pet stores (e.g. sell high quality winter jackets by Hurtta, Canada Pooch...etc.).
That's the other thing...I'm now looking for a good winter jacket for my Pug..where the slit opening in the back is at least 2-2.5" down from the collar. With another slit maybe at the 4-5" mark (some harnesses have the metal loop at the bottom of the harness (mine has it at the middle.
Plus the slits I see are all vertical. Harness loops for the leashes are all horizontal.
Why do most jacket manufacturer not go online and look at harness designs from various popular brands and cater their jacket designs to fit multiple brands?
