Nylabone Alternative

I'm looking for a chew alternative to the Nylabone because Cece just destroys them. She's 28 lbs and I've been getting her the one sized for up to 35 lb, but within a few days she chews them so badly that they either a) end up cutting her gums or b) she starts to shred the plastic and it becomes a choking hazard. Do I just need to go a size up in the Nylabone? Is there something that will stand up better to her aggressive chewing? Thanks!

Give digestible chews, not rawhide and not nylabones. Bully sticks, Yak Chews, Dream Bones, antlers, horns, hooves, etc...

If the dog can't digest it, it isn't a good chew toy for strong chewers that manage to shred whatever you give them. I have four wolfdogs, up to 1200 PSI bite force so, yes, they can shred almost anything. Hooves and bully sticks last the longest for them. a 12 inch bully stick lasts 1.5 to 2 days and, a hoof lasts 4-5 days.

My dog loves Nylabones and they last months but yes they do become very sharp when he chews the tips off. The best thing I’ve ever found for him are elk horns. Expensive but worth every penny. They’re a natural product so there’s no problem there. Mickey chews them for months and months and they don’t shred or splinter.

ental bones are great for cleaning your dog’s teeth, but most of them can’t withstand the fury of an extreme chewer for very long. This toy is designed specifically for heavy chewers, so it stands a much better chance of holding up. That said, really tenacious pups might be able to chew off little pieces of this, so it’s best to check the toy’s condition periodically.
If your dog’s not a big fan of T-Rex’s, there are also Brontosaurus and Stegosaurus versions.
