I have been looking on Amazon for a food bowl for my springer pup. They are look like good bowls(tall and narrow) until I read the reviews and people have said they are no different than a typical bowl from walmart. So I was wondering if anyone here has had a first hand experience with an actual spaniel bowl and where did you find it. I would prefer stainless or ceramic. The water bowl isn't an issue since they just get wet but his food bowl is a whole other issue since I add warm water to his food, his ear tips get nasty smelling after a couple of meals Thanks!
@animalcraker - That was my last resort, I was hoping a bowl would fix the issue, in fact as @Blue Topaz has suggested I have thought about just putting them in a scrunchy(loosely) which I guess it close to the snood idea, currently I have been just holding them back while he eats lol.
Why is it your last resort? They're super easy to use, cheap, and you can get them in loads of different colors, patterns, and fabrics. Or you can even make them yourself. I use snoods on my Afghans everyday, even if their ears have been banded or wrapped, and I haven't run into any issues yet. Just put it on right before eating and take it off when they're done eating. I've tried raising the food bowl for meal times, and has worked before when I didn't have a snood on hand, but the problem is if they pull their food out of the bowl and drop it to eat off the floor then your right back where you were before with food getting in the ears.
