Hello guys! I'm new here, but I figured this may be a useful route to replace my dog's favorite toy. If it's in the wrong section, I'm sorry. Just let me know, and I'll move the post to the correct area.

My puppy's favorite toy was destroyed by another dog I was fostering, & he's been incredibly depressed because of it...so I'm looking for a replacement one. Unfortunately the manufacturer isn't making them anymore, so if any of you have one (even if it's used), I'm willing to buy it from you! It's a bow wow Inky pink octopus; I'm attaching a photo of one, which I got off of Google. It's not the Inky beanie baby octopus for people, it's the one with the crinkly legs & a squeaker in it's head. Even if you have one that's not in the best condition, I'll still buy it from you. I'll pay you $200! I know that sounds crazy, but it'll be worth it just to have my dog be happy again. I tried to replace his ruined toy with a regular Inky beanie baby, and his cute little puppy eyes lit up, but then he got sad again when he realized it wasn't the dog version of the toy. Please help, guys! It would mean so much to me & my dog Oliver! Thank you so much in advance!

Yeah, I've searched high and low on the internet too, but to no avail. I did find one person on Amazon who had the octopus (I bought it for $90), but they lost it in transit to the post office somehow, so they just gave me a refund. I've also tried getting him similar octopuses (he's got 5 different types now, lol), but so far none of them have worked. I haven't tried the KONG one yet, though. It's definitely worth a shot! Thanks for the suggestion!

Oh, that really stinks. That toy was made AGES ago so finding one still in tact may be impossible. I'm sorry. Do you have the remnants of his old one? Maybe you could sew it into something? Even if the shape is different it would smell the same.

I made the mistake of already throwing it away, thinking it would be easy to replace. By the time I realized the toy was no longer being sold, the trash had already been taken away by the garbage men. That's why I'm willing to pay so much for a replacement; the foster dog may have ripped it apart, but it was my fault that I didn't keep the remains & try to partially save it, even if it had massive scars.
