Ok so I have three dogs, Misa(a Aussie lab mix with medium ish hair), Koko(deer chihuahua pretty shortish hair) and Kiwi(chihuahua papillon mix long hair) I noticed all of them are having issues with their collars.

Koko-

He has some pretty bad balding on the front of his neck and in the back it’s like his fur was pressed up by the collar so when I take it off the fur is still spiked upwards.

Kiwi-

Getting a flat line in her fur pretty noticeoable since she has long fur

Misa-

Similar thing as koko with the fur spiking up from the collar and has a flat line.

Now I bought Misa a rolled collar made out of leather and good quality rope. I heard from my aunt that rolled collars can help with these issues. So I’m testing it out on Misa, what are your opinions on rolled collars? Should I be getting a different kind for them?

Rolled collars are better for long haired dogs, they keep the fur from matting up as much under the collar, and the line made by a collar shouldn't be as noticeable as one made by a regular flat collar.

The rolled collar may, or may not, help the issue you are having with the front of KoKo's neck. From the sound of it it's the hardware on the collar that are causing his problems, or he's pulling against it and it's rubbing the fur off. Keeping the collar loose and walking him on a harness may help.
