Gear for Service Animals

Hello all -

I was just curious as to where everyone goes to get vests and patches for their service animals. I'm rather new to the space and want to make sure I'm getting things correctly.

I'm currently going to SitStay for all of my vests and gear.

Have any of you used this website or have suggestions for other places? I really like their prices and they seem to have everything a service dog owner could want.

Thanks!

States have different requirements so make sure you abide by yours. Many of the "guide dog" supply stores are, in my opinion, borderline scams. Not referring to yours as I know nothing about it.

Thanks for the input. I've been buying things from them and they are legit. I'm just seeing if anyone else used other sites. Very happy with SitStay so far!

Barkoutfitters doesn't have much but they have a few things, I've ordered a training pouch from them and its the best I've had yet. Their things are ordered through Amazon so it's pretty reliable.

River Dog Gear is where I am looking at getting my vest once my girl graduates to full Service Dog status. I have a friend who has ordered from her and has given a positive review, though she did mention that it is a 'heavier' vest and could be too warm for summer months. To give some perspective of that we both live in Canada.

Patches there are also several online stores you can look at, and Etsy and Amazon are not bad at all. I so far prefer Etsy as some of the vendors on there have some fun fandom patches. The ones from Fuzzy Bazaar that I got I am pleased with.

Though I would also like to mention that if you come across the Extra Spoon, an online store run by disabled individuals for disabled individuals, I would hesitate to purchase from. They may be better, but up until the point that I was paying attention some strange/disturbing things were going on with them. The main summary would be they had a campaign of sorts attacking a veteran with PTSD, don't quote me on this part but I think because she left a bad review. For a while I know they weren't including ingredient lists for things like soaps and their scented products, and despite operating since the spring only got their business permit/licence thing in September. I don't mean to start drama or nothing, it just bugs me what these individuals have done and think is okay. So, I try to make others aware.
