Giving thanks for a dog's love!

As Thanksgiving comes around, we want to remind you how many dogs thank you for the love and care you give them. The time you spend with them, the love you show them, the gifts and toys you give them are truly cherished by them. Your pets look to you as your best friend! Let's give thanks for for happiness our dogs bring us and remind them how happy we are to be their pet parent!

We don't really celebrate Thanksgiving in Britain, but this seems like a good place to put this as a dedication to everyone who given a dog a good home:

What have I done, What did I say?
To make these people throw me away
I didn’t ask, I didn’t plan
To be thrown away like an empty can

My mother's gone, my brothers too
I’m on my own, what do I do?
I have no food, nowhere to sleep
I’m all alone myself to keep

The world is such a scary place
There’s fear and hate all over the place
Hit with sticks and chased with stones
I’ve bruises and I’ve achy bones

Oh Lord please help, this isn’t fair
What have I done, and do you care?
Another morning, I sit and cry
Perhaps its best if I just die.

But then you sent an angel, who took my cares away
She gave me hope, She showed me love, She changed my life that day
And now I have a family, I run, I bark, I play
And just for this I thank the lord, my Angel came that day*

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you in the USA

I'm struggling with being an empty nester for the first time in over 36 years. My youngest just moved in to her own apartment. The Yorkie that I bought her for her 21st birthday of course moved with her but she brings him over every day so I can watch him while she's at work or at school, and even today while she's at the Cowboy's football game. My little Morkie has been with me 24 hours a day, every day since I got him a couple of months ago. Since my husband travels for business, these little furbies are probably my best friends. I would be so sad without them.

Thank you both for sharing. We are grateful for our pets and these words show exactly how pets can change our lives for the better! We are so happy dogs bring as much joy to both of you as they do to us!
