Hello From Tennessee

Just retired (62 year old dude) and acquired a rescue dog that is part border collie and lab. Small girl but very loving and very smart. Socks spent a lot of time in a crate before, slightly mistreated, and is now been with my wife and I for about 5 weeks now. She is about a year and a half old we believe. We are blessed to have such a wonderful dog that is learning commands fast, getting use to sleeping on our bed, and a big snugger.
Hope to read and learn from all of you. I have had many dogs in the past and have been able to train most of them pretty well. The afghan hound was the exception...
Thanks for letting me join the forum!
