Hello from Connecticut

Hi!

I'm Wendy from Connecticut.

I've been involved in animal rescue for more than 20 years- mostly dogs- and in the past 6 years or so, cats and Queens.
I stopped by the shelter I work with today, and somehow ended up bringing home a pregnant bitch who had a hard labor- but that's a post for a another board, I think..

I have 3 dogs- 2 pekingese and a peke/chi mix, all rescues, and 4 cats- 3 of my own bottle fed orphan babies and the last Mama cat I fostered who had 9 kittens and needed lots of care.

Anyway, happy to be here and hope to get some support and give back where I can!

I saw you're other post and responded, but just thought I would add, I foster kittens as well! In fact, the kitten I now own was a special needs foster that we decided to keep. Her name is Nocturne and I assisted her birth. Her mother only had half a uterus (a genetic defect) and so when she gave birth her kittens were half the size they were suppose to be. Little Nocturne ended up having hydrocephalus (water on the brain) but is doing well now. Her two siblings were adopted and her mother, doing well, is now up for adoption.
I've had lots of experience assisting cat births and helping the mother's raise them, its sort of like with dogs, so if you have any questions, I can try and answer.

I hope all turns out well! Keep us updated!

So funny! My last fosters were a mother/daughter duo who birthed 13 kittens between the 2 of them- 2 weeks apart! They are all homed- and I help one of the Mamas- my Naomi! She's my special girl. .

Wendy, that is such a sweet photo. It also looks like it would be really warm and soft in that pile.
