Hello, All! ZiggyLicious has arrived!

Hello, everyone. My name is Ashley. I work at Tractor Supply and I co-own an alpaca farm with my mother and little sister. We have 16 alpacas- Make that 17 alpacas with our baby that was just born last week, 36 chickens, and a dog named Ziggy.

Ziggy actually needs some help right now. She got a mysterious wound on her leg the end of last month. I took her to the vet and they thought it was a snake bite, but a month has gone by and there's been no improvement. The swelling now covers a large portion of her leg and so they did a biopsy on it. It turns out that it's not a snake bite at all, but a very serious and rare fungal infection called Pythiosis. My only affordable options are euthanasia, which I'm not even considering with her being just under 8 months old, and amputation of the leg, which is still going to cost me between $800 and $1000. I'm asking for any thoughts, prayers, help, and advice I can get.

Have any of you ever had a large breed dog with only 3 legs? I could really use advice.
