Need help with house training my dog

We just recently adobted our dog from the local animal shelter about a week ago. She was a stray but they say that she is about one year old, but they didn't have much more information about her. She was spayed while she was there. We brought her home the first night and she didn't have any problems the entire night. She is fine whenever someone is home with her, doesn't matter if you are awake or sleeping if she knows somebody is here with her she doesn't do anything that she isn't suppose to. It is the times when we all leave the house she will run into the bay window and knock over a lot of stuff, she will watch us leave from the window and then distroy a lot of different things. She will grab things that do not belong to her and chew them up. She will jump on the table or the counter and grab things down and eat them. She is a good dog other then distroying stuff when we aren't home. But if somebody is here with her even if you aren't paying attention to her you won't ever catch her doing anything she isn't supposed to be doing. Another thing that we can't seem to get her to understand is going potty outside. She will do it every once in awhile but most of the time you can take her outside and all she will do is sit down and won't go to the bathroom and then she will run upstairs and go to the bathroom as soon as she comes back in from outside. She is a Labrador Retriever Mix.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated,
Thanks in advanced.

Congrats on your new dog!
I would check out the housetraining sticky which should be at the top of this board
You may have to start from scratch with her but the good news is adult dogs can learn quickly
As far as grabbing things, you can either dogproof or try to contain her to one room etc
