For a few weeks I was getting up about every 2 - 3 hours to take him out and then one night I must have just been so exhausted that I slept through the night. The puppy was sound asleep when I woke up in a panic thinking he had peed all over his crate. Not one drop of pee, though! So I started going longer time frames with taking him out and now he goes 6 hours during the night without going out. He seems to be fine because he's just patiently waiting in his crate when I get up in the morning.

I hope this is ok! He's never had an accident and he doesn't race out of his crate to go outside or anything. He just leisurely strolls out and then goes outside.
