Kimber thinks Garage is potty place.

Our garage has been packed full of my husbands crap LoL forever. A few weekends ago my husband cleaned it out and since then I have been letting Kelsey and Kimber play out there alot. I always put them out there when they want to play rough and Kimber loves being out there. But he keeps going poopy out there for some reason. I am thankful he isn't going in the house but still. Even if I take him outside and he does his business he will still come in and poop in the garage a 1/2 hour later. I am not even sure what to do except sit out there and wait to catch him but the garage has kind of been my break LoL. I put them out there to play so I can clean or do whatever. Any suggestions?

Does he doop outside first and then inside too? Or does he just pee and them come inside and doop?

Sometimes he poops outside and then comes in and goes again but not always.

Hmm... wait to see what everyone has to say I guess. :/

I mean really the best thing I can think of is to get him to go outside first (if you don't want to watch him while they're in the garage). That and clean the floors REALLY good before you put him back in there (so he's less likely to do it because he smells it).

I'm not much help cause Tasha hasn't been housetrained yet as she mainly stays outside or in her crate.

Oh and I sort of get what you mean. Tasha peed on our carpet when she was about 8 weeks old and it failed to get thouroghly cleaned. Well, Tasha can pee as much as she wants before I bring her in (even just a second before bringing her in) but when she smells it she remarks it. :/ Need to buy some carpet cleaner and odor remover, lol. Nowhere else in the house, just there too. :P

Yeah I would prefer not to sit out there. But I am thinking I may have to in the short term. Kimber is smart and I think if I can catch him one time and take him out will know that is not a potty place. When we first started letting them play out there I would sit out there with them and read or something and he never went. He just started going this past weekend. Oh and my husband scrubs the floor like crazy everytime.

you could just check on him every few minutes and take him out to do his business repeatedly for a while...that way you can still praise him for going in the right place...

Sounds like the garage 'feels like outside' to her; I'd do the exact same thing you do indoors-clean well, supervise and usher out quickly when pottying starts -allow potty breaks etc
