As Seen on TV Potty Patch® Mat - The Indoor Dog Potty - A Harriet Carter Featured Product

Potty Patch® mat is the indoor dog restroom making it easy for dogs to “take care of business” indoors without having to be let outside. Forget about newspapers and litter boxes! Your pooch can now “go” when it needs to without making a mess using the indoor dog potty. This indoor portable dog potty mat is made of a unique triple-layer, artificial turf pad that collects up to a gallon of liquid – it’s like an indoor restroom for pets! It’s ideal for training puppies, for indoor or city-dwelling dogs, for long trips, or during bad weather. The Potty Patch® indoor dog restroom measures 27" x 17".

The only thing that gets me is....how do you clean it? I imagine a tray full of piss you have to clean, that would spill really easy. Other than that, I like the idea.

I know hey? I'm imagining the grass absorbs it, and you pick up poop from it...and then remove the grass and put a new sheet down? I can't imagine it would smell good though?

Yeah, I've seen those before. I saw someone that actually had one in their camper last year. :P

YouTube - Go Potty in the Box
I have a friend who litterbox trained his Yorkie. I suggested it to him when they got the pup because it was going to be home alone every day while they worked. They make special dog litter, but I don't know how it's different than cat liter.

This might be one of the stupidest things I've seen...

I saw this in a grooming supply catalog the other day...it would have to have some major odor control element to it...you would think it would be rather smelly.

I considered getting one for my 10-year-old schnoodle and her new 8-week-old buddy. I read a lot of reviews and from what I understand, it is cheaply made. The pieces rattle and the unit has a tremendous odor control problem. The "grass" falls out easily and is not secure enough for a dog who likes digging, scratching or chewing.

Needless to say, I didn't purchase it. We're sticking to newspapers for when we're away from home at work.
