Taking my dog running

I'd like to start jogging with my dog (she's very high energy so will definetly benefit her) but every time i start running she'll try to bite the lead, jump at me, bite my hands ect. she's really good on the lead normally so not sure what to do, any suggestions......????

She's probably just not sure what you are doing LoL She may think when you start running you are trying to play a game. So I would just start slow like with any other training exercise until she figures out what you want. I am sorry I don't have any better suggestions, but I am sure others will be able to give you some good advice.

lol thanks, yeah everything is a game to her!! next step attaching a rod to her collar with a sausage on a string hanging from it, that'll get her going!! hehe

ditto what brit said... start off increasing your walking speed, if she starts to act up, just stop completely... when she stops doing the behavior again the reward her with going again....

Ditto and Welcome

Maybe try jogging after she's pooped-she sounds full of vinegar and wanting to play-so maybe if she's tired already she'll be focusing on going forward-rather then up and playing
