Okay, so for someone who is going to get a puppy, what supplies should he/she have before the pup's arrival? It's very tempting to just go down every aisle and pick up everything you see from toys to nail clippers.

Well somethings are optional really, depends on your needs and the pup. Some you might not need immediately but soon.

Food bowl
Water bowl
Crate/pet taxi
Fenced yard/other outdoor containment
Collar
Lead
Baby gate
Vet check appointment
Food
Toys of different types
Treats
Vaccines
the nail clippers or something to trim nails (other grooming supplies, it really varies by need)
Shampoo
Carpet/fabric cleaner with enzymes to remove accidents
Baby gate
Health record (to record vet visits, procedures, vaccinations, a description)
Microchip (if not already done)

What puppy age, breed, ect are you getting?

Thanks for the list! I forgot about carpet/fabric cleaners. It's a while in coming, but I will be getting an 8 week old cockapoo puppy.

How much does the microchip cost?

in my area anywhere from $35- $55.
