Default Lethargic 4 Month Patterdale

Hi

I have a 4 month old livley patterdale dog. He is normally very active and easily excited.

But since this morning he has not been himself, he has slept most of the day, hasnt jumped up and investigated every little noice nor has he greeted people who have come to our home. He is eating and drinking and has been to the toilet.

We are very worried about him, can anyone shed any light on why he is like this?

We have decided to take him to the vets tomorrow.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

Good call on the vet visit, there are many things that can cause that. Parvo would probably be the worst.

Vet for sure-glad your going in. It could be as simple as he pulled something and doesn't feel great to parvo or flu or distemper. I wish I could tell you it's nothing, but not matter what it is-early detection and treatment will be the key and with modern vet practices even if it's a bumpy ride, your pooch will likely be fine We have had two members fairly recently go through parvo and their dogs were fine even though parvo is very serious.

PLEASE keep us posted-we worry {{Healing Vibes}} for your pooch and {{Calming Vibes}} for you.

Thanks to all of you for your posts.

Billie seemed to be a little livelier this morning, but we decided to take him to the vets regardless to get him checked out.

The vet couldn’t see anything wrong with him, said all seemed fine.

I guess he was having an off day.

Thanks again to you all.
