Deet spray like Off! and Cutter, do work well to keep them away, they make an unscented variety that's tolerable, and they make a powder spray that won't leave your skin greasy. My main problem with it is that I'm scared to have dogs lick it, I'm not sure if it would hurt them or not but I"m not willing to find out. Avon Skin So Soft is also said to repel them and it has a heck of a lot less then chemicals then Off or Cutter, but I'm not positive how well it works where mosquitoes are bad.
Do you have any suggestions about the dogs drinking water? Dont have any other water in the yard at all.
I use off! And similar when camping, but woild like to keep them away, not only off me for such siuations whre you have friends over.
Will remember to mow the lawn regularly.
Never heard of permethrin.
What do you think of mozzie coils?
