Funny Ad

Do you guys ever read the pet sections in your newspapers? I do occassionally.

This is one I just read in the Bargin Sheet (our area's penny saver).

"For sale- Mini Dotson Puppies, AKC Registered. Males/Females, Black/Tan or Reds, Vet Checked, first shots, dewormed. Raised in house. Well Socialized. Short/long haired. $450. Call (xxx)xxx-xxxx."

Makes me want to call right now to reserve my very own AKC purebred Dotson puppy!

Just kidding!

I hope that people think twice about buying a pup from these people! They can't even spell the name of the breed they own! I'm assuming that they meant "Dachshund" rather than "Dotson"!
It's not even a close misspelling! And since none of the other words are misspelled I would have to assume that these people really just think that they are breeding Dotsons. That right there screams BYB!

OMG! This is just funny dog ad day here in PA! We should just open a thread to post the ads we find!

Anyway, I just went out to get our mail and I stopped to talk to a lady I know who lives nearby. She was out walking her lab. She also has 4 chis and is actively involved in chi rescue. She told me to check out our craigslist for a taco terrier!

Here's the listing. Free to good home please help

Just in case, I copied it below:

Free to good home please help (Lewistown)

Due to a recent change in my life I had to move in with my parents and can not have my puppy. He is a 10 mo old Taco terrier. He is crate trained, but does have accidents. he does not like men very much ( he barks at them) He is staying with a friend of mine but she has a female dog and he will not leave her alone and he is spraying so I have to find a home ASAP. He is a good dog but should prob be with a single woman with not dogs so he doesn't spray. He is ok with children and cats. Here are some pics his name is Maddox

I think it's more irritating than funny. Especially reading the reasons why they give away their dogs!

I admit tho that Taco Terrier sounds funny! I can't imagine what he/she means!

Poor Puppy . These people get rid of their dogs because they can't afford but I bet they never give up their cable tv and cell phones.

I do want to say that I don't find animal overpopulation issues or people getting rid of their pets for silly reasons funny. I do take these issues seriously.

But I did find some humor in what these people are calling these dogs.

Alfi, I think you are joking, but just in case...
This lady must have gotten "taco terrier" from the Taco Bell dog. Here in the US about 10 years ago Taco Bell (its a fast food Mexican Restaurant, for those who do not live in the US) had a little Chi on all of their commercials. The chi always said "Yo Quiero Taco Bell" which means "I want Taco Bell" in Spanish.
