Beagle & Bloodhound ???

Ok, I have a full blood bloodhound and our friend wants to get rid of his 7 month old male Beagle... I would love to have him but before I agree to it I wanted to learn more about Beagles. I don't know if my one year old female bloodhound will like this male small pup. If you guys have any experience with either breeds please give advice! Harlie (bloodhound) is great with other dogs, but she is very protective over me. Please comment about this, because I have to give him an answer this evening!
Thanks for the thoughts!

Beagles generally get along with other dogs, pets, and are great for children.

Good luck, btw!(:

Thanks for the comment
I just wonder if harlie (bloodhound) will bully him since Harlie has always had the house, yard and me to herself!
any other people have any comment?

Things will mostly be fine, just make sure to introduce them in a neutral place, and not directly bring him to your house, just slowly get her used to him before you bring him home.

Ok Thanks! They have play at the park about 3 days a week together so I think I will get him tonight and take them both for a walk and let them play and make sure everything is fine. Thanks for the comments you two, I just needed someone elses opinion before I go and tell the owner that I want him!

Have a great evening!

Yeah, take them for a walk, that would be a good way for them to get introduced properly to each other, good luck with that.
