Friendly Competition 3

so, we all need to figure out what we are doing for the next competition...i don't have any ideas at the moment, but if i come up with some thing i will post it...

the next due date is Dec 15th so the sooner we come up with whatever the trick is we can all start working on it...

i also think we should extend the deadline for the last trick (say your prayers)to Dec 15th and work on that at the same time, if you all agree of course.

Some I'm wanting to train Tasha (not really now, but they're on our list)

YouTube - Learning with Boxes

YouTube - Dog Handstand - Clicker Tutorial

YouTube - 'How to" train your dog to Scoot backwards

Oh, and the dead line move would be cool since I only started like 5 days before the end of the comp, lol!

I like the box one...the handstand takes months to teach because of the muscle memory involved

Yeah, but it's still cute and on our list! :P

If we're gonna do two tricks we may want to have something a bit easier anyway.

i like the box one also...we've been working on clover's rear end awareness so this will be a great game for us...

is the goal just to see how small of a box you can get them to stand in?

Well, that'd be nice, but I'm afraid someone like Cystal would win with her tiny doggie. I have 4 t-rex feet to fit in a box, lol.

if the game is stand in a box, then that is cool...but i think we need a more specific goal....

Like, you know. It shouldn't be wider than 3 paws one way and 3 paws the other (relative to your dog's paws), or something like that...?

Guys I was going to suggest a
1) beginner trick
2) intermediate to advanced trick.

That way everyone (even those with pups) can participate

Something like
1) beginner=high five
2) inter/advance=play dead

That sort of thing.

anyways would love a dealine extension on the 'say your prayers'

Oh and a trick suggestion (you won't hurt my feelings if you table it until next round ) is crawl so you just teach them from a down to move forward like a ninja-it's a cool party trick too
