Couple of Problems with my dogs.

Hello community, this is my first post.

I have a 7months old Boxer (Female) & 10months old Border Collie (Male)
The three main problems I have is the barking, feeding and taking them out for a walk.

(The dogs spend most of their time in the garden)

1. Barking
My daughters often go out and visit the dogs or feed the dogs when the Boxer has started barking.
And now the Boxer knows if she barks: Someone will come outside.
The Boxer is barking alot now, when she's hungry, when she wants out.
After she has eaten, after she has been outside for a few hours.

2. Feeding
As soon as I get close to their fence,, the Boxer starts jumping like crazy, not in a happy way and not agressive either, just anxious jumping.
I open the fence and the Border Collie run around smelling while I serve their food.
Meanwhile the Boxer is near me all the time, watching every step I take and as soon as I serve the food she jumps on the plate and starts eating like crazy.
Fighting has occured because she goes to the Border Collie's plate after finishing her own.
(This happens with any amount of food that I serve)

3. Taking them for a walk
Again, no problem with the Border Collie...but the Boxer...
She wants to run away, drags me forward until her breathing starts to sound wierd because of the leash.
If theres 2 people walking each dog separetly, the Boxer will do anything to be infront of the border collie and again starts to drag the leash.

(The Border Collie is twice as big as the Boxer if it matters)

Any help is really appreciated by me and my family.

How much exercise does the boxer get? Do you do any training? How often? How many hours a day are they alone outside?

Outdoor dogs tend to bark alot because they are either frightened, or bored out of their skulls, from how you describe the boxer, he sounds like a pent up puppy. He needs more stimulation, both the breeds you have are very active dogs, and need mental stimulation as well as exercise

as far as the food thing goes, they need to be fed separately, or with you standing there the whole time so one doesn't swipe from the other. If one is constantly being bullied off their food, fighting/guarding behaviors is the next thing that will surface.

Welcome to the forum btw

I agree with all of the above. Both dogs need exercise along with training and separating them to eat is likely the best idea. I think if you answer the above questions we can better advise
