my golden particularly enjoys shoving her balls, toys, etc UNDER furniture. she will even fight us if we try to block the area off. under the TV stand is her favorite place as of late.

anyway, she pushes her ball UNDER a piece of furniture and then whines and bats for it until we remove it for her. then she repeats. at first i thought she was being a little TOO silly on account of how many times she's done this.

now i'm realizing it's all part of her plan. she runs over, shoves it under, comes and gets us by screaming at us, and waits in front of the piece of furniture. she would do it ALL day if she could.

i'm gonna end up taking all of my furniture off it's feet/pegs so it sits on the ground.

Haha that's funny. My dogs do that too but they aren't doing it on purpose. I bet that gets really annoying!

There was a guy that posted once with a video, his dog would drop the ball behind the headboard of his bed and then throw a fit until he went and got it.

then repeat.

LOL

yep! it drives me absolutely CRAZY. she literally PUSHES it under the TV stand/couch and will lay on her side clawing and growling at it, then get up and come to me, cry, and go back.

when i "retrieve" it for her, she gallops back over the the TV stand and pushes it under again.

i feel horrible for confiscating her ball sometimes but MY GOODNESS!

Tee hee hee, my dog does it, but it's usually an accedent. (Playing to rough and it rolls under the object.) I guess I'm lucky he hasn't learned to train me. But outside, that's a different story.

I would throw his favorite ball or toy for him to play fetch and he'll do a false charge and stop and look at me as if to say, "your turn." (Tail wagging and all.) I would tell him, it's your toy, you get it. Than he comes back to me and sits infront of me and looks up to me. I call it his, I don't care go get it for me. type of look.

He used to love playing fetch, but I think his old age stops him from time to time. On lucky occassions, he will fetch and bring it back. ^_^

Stark does this on purpose.

He takes balls and shoves them under the couch, behind furntiure, etc..

What I did was get a box, cut some different sized holes in it and placed his ball inside that.

He has a great time trying to get it out and now he actually puts his ball in the holes (all different sizes) and tries to get it out.

Keeps his mind working and allows me a break.
