What seems to be the consensus on this vet?

So, I decided to go for a last-ditch effort to make sure Chisum's meds are correct, but I'm beginning to realize that finding a veterinary behaviorist is like hunting for a needle in a haystack.

I contacted my school's vet department and they referred me here:
Dr. Wayne Hunthausen | Westwood Animal Hospital

I've been in touch with him and we've set up an appointment for April. He seemed very nice and knowledgeable on the phone. Honestly, whenever I talk to people about Chisum I expect them to tell me to just give up, but he was very helpful.

I do have a bad experience with a woman nearby who claimed to be a vet behaviorist and so, so wasn't, but this practice seems pretty good and he does seem to have some significant knowledge behind him.

He isn't a diplomat of the ACVB (which is apparently important?) but the closet one is in Colorado and that just won't happen, I'm afraid.

So what do you all think? Is there something I'm missing here?

I haven't been around much, so am not familiar with what you have done, but have you tried CBD oil to help him with his anxiety?

I actually considered it after @revolutionrockandroll brought it up. I've read mixed reviews on how much it actually helps, though.

He's currently on trazodone and flouxetine, but we've also tried adaptil (collar and diffuser), thundershirts, lavender oil, as well as various OTC 'calming' treats. Am currently starting on a couple of the different rescue remedy oils too.

I can see you are already doing a lot, so adding CBD oil might not be a good idea, it is definitely something to bear in mind if what you are trying doesn't help.
