peanut butter is a good one...you can also soak the kibble in water until it's soft and then stuff it in and freeze it, cream cheese, cottage cheese (i like to mix the kibble in with this stuff to sort of bulk it out) plain or vanilla yogurt, squeeze cheese, canned dog food, anything squishy that is safe food for a dog can go in...another good thing is to take a chewy, like a bully stick, cut it down so that it is just longer than the kong and shove it in the gooey stuff before you freeze it, or just shorter than the kong and shove it in w/o freezing it. the kong website has recipes too

I put a bully stick in the kong originally but they just ate the part that was sticking on and weren't able to get it out of the Kong. I think I like filling it with the gooey stuff and freezing it.

kibble with a plug of wet food...then frozen. They often eat their meals this way.

I read some good recipes in a book, and there are also some on the website.

One I liked is you crack and egg in there (other ingredients welcome) and microwave for a minute!

Mikey still wont' bother with a kong *rolls eyes*

KONG Pet Toys - Legendary Strength, Quality, and Performance go to 'tips and advice' then click recipes

I did not realize you could microwave them. that is awesome.

Before coming to this site I also didn't realize you could put them in the dishwasher...I bought one for Kelsey months ago but threw it away because I couldn't figure out the best way to clean it.

Kelsey is big on peanut butter but not to much on the yogurt. I haven't tried an egg yet but I am going to. Kimber loves anything but they only keep him occupied for about 15 minutes and everything is gone. Is there anything that will be a little harder to get out?
