Smile UPDATE!! Waterproof pet beds I'm getting

So these are actually for my two old rabbits, but they are meant for dogs-especially incontinent dogs or cats.

I am picking two up on Thursday and you can see them here Beds I followed a link in kijiji I think? They look perfect-she said the farbric is water proof and it's not a spray or anything so hopefully they stay waterproof (one of my two old men bunnies pees whereever he pleases and gets his friend, my blind/deaf rabbit wet as well-so maybe this is exactly what I'm looking for?)

So I'll keep you guys posted on how they work out-and if any of you have inco dogs, maybe they are for you too! She has four sizes and does customs sizes or patterns on request-so really you could use it for any inco pet!

Thats really cool!
I use crib mattresses in the main of the house as dirty wet paws or pups. They work but then again- I uh ( coughs) have large dogs. You can also get one for as cheap at like 30 dollars at like walmart etc.
For the bigger mattresses upstairs for the dogs, I use mattress covers that has plastic on one side and that seems to work very well.

*Smacks forehead*

I have been trying to figure out water proof soft cushions for EONS. I've toured fabric stores, ebay-everything for fabric to make my own...I'm mentally slow obviously-WHAT A super idea Borzoi!! OMG-I think I will pick a crip mattress up anyways-can't have too many soft places to lounge when bunnies are involved!!

Crio-LOL They are supposed to wash ok...we'll see!

These crib mattresses are excellent in water resistant or dirt- wet paws, uh puppy accidents, whelping pups- you name it! And orthopedic too with great support!
To clean- a simple dawn or if puppy accident, naturals miracle on a cloth but it wont stick. And the sheets or blankets are cheaply priced too!

Yup! First one I tried came from like that- then I found I could get them anywhere certain times of year. The one I am looking at now nina is on was 28 dollars at target.. ( I am totally serious!)
Everyone that has big dogs knows how much a big dog bed is.. I have used them for years!
Also check yard sales- ie the child is now a toddler in a childs bed and crib mattresses are easy to find!

Mikey, not to rain on your parade but those beds are water resisitant. Not exactly the same thing as water proof.

I think the crib mattresses are a better idea. If you don't catch Mr. Bunny shortly after he pees....it will soak in ....just not instantly.

Just my nickel's worth.

No raining don't worry-they are uber cheap so I may as well give them a go (plus all my disposable income goes on silly pet things...you should see my rabbit room-they have their own bedroom...) heheh

I don't mind the laundry-as long as it keeps them dry while they're lounging...My blind deaf bunny has this stuffed lion he sleeps on and I don't dare throw it out, but he always pees on it (bunnies love peeing on soft things-so even if they aren't incontinent they will...)

I have actually the two senior buns, one who will not use a toilet (and I've litter trained buns..) and one -the blind deaf one who is really good at litter boxes, but still pees on soft things. Only one of my buns isn't 'special needs' and her bonded bud, Rupert has a broken leg that healed crooked, and he's *slightly* inco too, so the beds will be suitable...but totally going to get crib mattressess too!

Can't have enough pet supplies right? (I should really buy stocks in petsmart etc!)

I am looking kijiji right now for crib mattresses.

To add; to illustrate what a loon I am-I was looking for three or two legged dogs...found Mikey instead and glad I did...but I really only adopt 'special' pets usually I know...
