Okay, after his love of his squeeky bone, I happened to come accross a toy that intreged me. It is a thick ruber bone with the ends balled with small spikes. (I'm guessing to help groom the dog's teeth inbetween to scrap off build up.) anyways, you can put water inside it and it squirts it out when the dog bits it.
Being the devilish little girl I am, I thought this would be such a fun toy to play with since we had hot days here and he was panting very hard and staying in his shaded area. (We don't have air conditioners here so bringing him inside would make it worse for him.)
anyways, I first introduced it to him without adding in any water and just like the squeeky bone, he loved it, chewing mostly the ends where the spikes were. I took it away and pulled out the rubber end and filled the bone up with water. I gave it back to him and he immediatly grabbed it and must have bit hard because a few seconds later he dropped it with a head shake. (Somewhat shocked) He looked at the bone and went for it again and as he tried to pick it up, again he tossed it out of his mouth. He looked at me and than the bone and tried again and this time he resisted and brought it away to his shade and layed down chewing it. (As he chewed, he was shaking his head as if trying to stop the water from leaking out.) It actually doesn't squirt, it seeps out. It also says you can freeze it also.
I have to admit, he loves this bone more than his squeeky bone, but hey, beggers can't be choosers right?
