The Goughnuts have been the greatest toy I have ever bought Guarantee It's double layered and if your dog manages to chew through the outer layer to expose the red they will replace it for you with just the cost of shipping. My two girls have destroyed every toy I've bought them including most of the ones listed on this page. I got them both a goughnut when they came home as puppies and they are now both almost 11 months old and the goughnuts are still staying strong. They'll grab these toys and just chew and chew and chew and haven't managed to destroy them yet. I highly recommend the goughnuts to everyone who asks me for a toy there dog won't destroy and no one has been disappointed.

I had a lab once that the only toy that lasted him a little while was to buy a hose and let him tear into that!! LOL

I have a Staffy so he needs something as near to indestructible as we can get.
We've found boomer balls are great he's had it about a year and he hasn't destroyed it yet. BoomerBall.com | Animal Enrichment Zoo Toys indestructible dog toys BoomerBall.com | hearding ball, hearding trainer, indestructible dog toys

Nose balls are similar too, I haven't tried one of these but apparantly they are better than the boomer Nose Ball

the only thing that has lasted has been a boomerang from a company named
VIP Products Tuffy's Red Paw Boomerang Dog Toy. My 2 can tug something apart in seconds I went to the hardware store and got 3 ft pieces of rope and tied knots in it and made toys because I got tired of paying so much for things that did not last. the boomerang has been here for over a year and they tug on it daily. There are other shapes made by this company too , maybe one will work.

I have three labs, two puppies and one 6 year old and they have chewed through every toy I have ever given them. but the ones that seem to last the longest are people sports toys. Good leather footballs are a favorite, as well as soccer balls. For your smaller dog, I would recommend the training size of soccer balls, they're maybe 5-6 inches on diameter, my puppies love them!

I just posted this on another thread but... the only thing our dog (Shiba Inu / German Shepherd mix) can't destroy is the Buster Cube (puzzle food dispenser). It's not that it's that strong (ABS plastic) but it's kind of large and smooth so she can't get a bite on it. She loves playing with this and it's a great time watching her try to figure it out.

Oh, I also forgot to mention that the Kong Extreme products (the black ones) are fantastic in terms of "indestructability."
