Agility is SO MUCH FUN! I also am in love with herding, but haven't been doing it very long. My goal is to get my dogs trained well enough they can help with my goats hahaha! But goats are harder to deal with (to a dog) than sheep, and the goats I have are well trained to follow me with the mention of a cookie lol I've never tried flyball, but that looks like fun as well. But I can only do so much, so I've stuck just to agility and herding... oh and carting/driving for fun with a previous malamutex I had, and my current malamute and my leo/newfies will be learning very soon! That's great yours is going through the weaves, that is the hardest obstacle to teach dogs. Do your guides move up/down the poles? If so, to start weaning off the guides, raise the guides a little bit at a time, until she consistantly goes through with them at the very top, then try without.

I was going to suggest the same thing....and yes, horses play with balls! They have a handle on the ball that your dog could easily grasp and the ball would be enormous making them think they are conqering a giant!

I found this ball that's just pure solid bouncy rubber. It's like the tank of all superballs. It's survived two pits (owned at different times) and my current dog. It even survived being left in a pool for 3 months before cleaning and finding it again. I'll edit this when I find out the name...though look for like a ball made out of solid rubber. It's a good toy.

CheyAut,

Thank you for the suggestion on weave pole. My dog is Corgi and taller for Corgi(Average corgi is12 inches I hear but mine is14 inches tall).Right now, she goes through weave with the guide height around her shoulder. It will be nice if I could do weave without guide string attached.

If your dog were motivated by treat, you can give him buster cube maybe? It is fun toy.

I have the same ball that MikeT is talking about. It is great. My dog Chloe loves it becasue it just keeps bouncing when she plays with it. They also make bones out of the same rubber. Teeth marks show sometimes but there is no way that a god can tear the ball or bone up. My dog chews everything, right now she loves chewing the sprinkler heads but i would check out PetSmart.

Do all of your dogs kill your toys? My dogs Kill any toy that I buy for them. I have spent hundreds of dollars on toys to keep my dogs going. But I have Finally found the toys for aggressive chewers like my dogs!!! They have been trying to kill them for months! These are the best toys for a tough dog. Zogoflex can be sent back for a free replacement if a dog can kill it what a challenge! They are made in the USA and are even Eco friendly! Go to Slobber Houndz Home Page for big dog tested and approved toys.

Tough toy

Go there, it is almost indestructible. Jouets à tirer pour chiens • Schum-Tug • Pull-toys for dogs

Also, if they have too much energy, you could try Aïkiou le nouveau bol interactif/The new interactive bowl, it burns some energy while eating, and it's good for there brain since they have to think.. Wich is a natural need for them.

I have a Cairn Terrier who destroys Kongs. I even got the black one (which is supposed to be stronger than the red ones) and he tore pieces off of it. I still have not found one toy he can't ruin in minutes. His idea of playing with his toys is to see how long it takes to completely shred it.
