I have never thought to rotate my dogs toys! Sounds like a good idea, he won't be able to badger me with them while i am busy then!

He is also becoming less interested in his toys as he always has the same ones laying about! So keeping his toys put away and rotating them for an hour of playtime is what i'm going to do now! He still loves tennis balls because i keep them away from him until i take him out to bat them and he goes to fetch them!

Rocco started doing that too. Some of his favorite toys that used to occupy him for over 15 minutes, that's basically an eternity in Rocco time, now barely get a sniff.

I accidentally came across an interesting discovery with him yesterday. When I took one of his old boring toys and wrapped one of my old socks around it, that toy suddenly became the most amazing thing he's ever seen! He spent about 30 minutes yesterday trying to pull that sock off his monkey.

So monkey + old sock = awesome, whereas either one alone is meh.

We don't rotate toys, mostly because half of them get destroyed within the first day

Once Kasper gets bored of a toy he ignores it and won't play with it for a few weeks. Then all of a sudden he absolutely loves it and ignores the others...he chooses which ones he's most excited by. We do have a toy box, but they're 'special' toys that he gets only on certain occasions...so his tuggy rope he'd shred if left out, likewise another tuggy toy, his puzzle feeders, tennis balls etc.

I never rotated McDuff's toy's. He really only has one that he loves to play with and that is his Mr.Pig squeaky toy - he is so gentle with it ... everything else he rips it to shreads to get stuffing or squeakers out of it.
