I put the camera away and strapped her in her harness. I also brought along Missy since she seemed to be learning from Cleo. We followed that scent almost a mile and my little girl treed a raccoon. I acknowledged her find and praised her, but I still had to pick her up and carry her back to the house. She was not going to leave that raccoon. She has not been on a hunt since she was diagnosed with the cancer. It was a great time.
Oh yeah, Missy will probably end up being an agility dog. She saw the raccoon and almost jerked my arm out trying to get away from it. As soon as Cleo is completely better, or passed I will work on Betty as my tracker, and Missy as my crack dog. |
