A bit of an update with Molly...
The past few months have been extremely hard to deal with for myself and Molly.
Restricting her from most of the things she absolutely loves has taken its toll on us in many ways.
Molly is having a difficult time keeping weight down, even though it is lower than than when we started, it's like a yo-yo.
However, her injury through perseverance has begun to show the positive results I had hoped for with my research.
On regular days (leash walks only), she can get up and down stairs, couches and occupied computer chairs with ease and confidence.
On days that I take her for more active outings (sometimes off leash), she feels it in the morning.
I have started to increase her daily regimen of supplements of sorts, increased her pre outing warm up intensity and do her stretches before she gets moving the next morning.
This has proven to be astronomically helpful for those rough mornings after heavy play from the evening before.
She has been out to play with some old...
and new friends recently!
Over all, Molly is enjoying life again and we have started to get used to a slower routine...and quite enjoying it now
Nose work did not pan out for us at this time until we find another place to go.
That is another story but it seems Molly is enjoying small steps...
it really is the simple things!
A few more weeks and we are once again back to the vet.
We have only heard positive assessments so far when we have gone so I am hoping for the same this time; as she seems leaps better since our subtle changes.
oh...I almost forgot!
We have worked up to three, twenty minute sessions per week on the treadmill (walking speed)
