Smile Might Do Agility Training With Yorkie Cross

Basically, I am 15 and live at home with my family and 3 dogs of ours. 2 Yorkie Crosses (there brother and sister), and 1 Labrador Cross.

I get on really well with 1 of the Yorkies, Sandy. Hes 6 I think now, and I thought it would be really cool and fun if I started taking him to agility training classes.
I don't know where we will be going yet, but I do know that my Dad is going to try to phone some places up tomorrow hopefully.
I would take Star (the Lab Cross), but shes too big for me as I wont be able to control as I will be able to with Sandy.

So I was just wandering what you guys think of this idea. Do you think a Yorkie should be ok for agility training?

Thanks byeee x

I am not too familiar with agility in the U.K but here in Canada many small dogs including Yorkie compete in agility.

Also keep in mind that regardless of the size of the dog, you'll have to learn to control it before doing agility. Obedience and control at speed are critical for agility, kinda like obedience on crack lol.

Good luck
