Default Things to think about...

Mind you, all these are found on the internet, and well, the internet isn't always correct, lol.

Vegans that Smoke?

I actually know a few ppl who are vegan and smoke like there's no tomorrow so I found this kinda funny. I mean not what happens, but how seriously they'll argue about how it's wrong then smoke like a whole pack in a day.

Speaking of those (interesting by the way)

I've always love this: There is no such thing as a meat eating environmentalist... well think about it right? LOL

I know it's Peta, I know they're crazy-but it's a good point. We are always blaming cars and lightbulbs but besides the emissions from cows being HUGE also the land that is ruined raising animals for meat (ie. rainforest big time!)

More on the chickens. Not just the babies, but other chickens too... oh and these are a bit graphic and upsetting.

This next one has a small part of footage that contains cussing, so I won't post it, but search this on youtube if you want to see it:

thing is tho, same can be said about vegans who drive big vehicles and comsume lots of other hard goods. I eat meat (i'll go into why in a sec) but Iam the most enviromentally consious person I know. I know meat isn't green, but lots of things aren't green.

True about vegans in big cars-but not all vegans are environmentalists. I'm a veg and I tell you-I idle my car big time when it's forty below-and I don't feel an ounce of guilt

Just saying that someone telling someone to go green while consuming meat is hypocritcal *awaiting discussion* Lol

heres the thing...to go completely green is a HUGE undertaking. So in a way anyone except the extremists are being hypocrits....for example rescuing dogs...I rescue, I promote it, but I don't live and breath it every second everyday. I don't spend every free moment at the shelter...so does that make me a hypocrit promoting it?

Iam taking lots of steps to be green. (i can go into if anyone cares) but its not realistic or feasable to go 100% green at this point. I still feel Iam a greener person than the average person tho, meat and all.

I'm going to stick my ugly head in here.

I have a different opinion about going green. Going green is a million dollar industry, and has been for years. Example: Cars...we have had the ability to research and produce functional electric cars from as early as the 1890's.
History of Electric Vehicles

Gasoline and diesel driven vehicles were cheaper to produce which made the profit margin greater for the companies involved.

Why now then? Because it is now stylish for people to be green, which increases the bottom line/bottom dollar. Be careful about falling into the "Organic" or "green" phenomenon. Extremists will exaggerate the truth to get what they want, companies will pad the pockets of the press and government to get what they want. IMO, if you truly want to start the way to being self sufficient and "green," then study up on how people lived in the 1800's. Recycle storm water from drains to water plants, recycle items like paper, glass, and aluminum, shop smart when it comes to food cloths, etc, and watch out for fads. I just touched a small part of what I do for myself, but I still eat meat. Not as much now that my heart is weaker, but I still eat some.

Our society, Press, and government is influenced by the almighty dollar.

Oh yeah: I was a member of Green peace for a while, but was not happy with the attitude of some of the other members. Lets just say that the idea that the end justifies the means does not flow right with me.

We can't forget the oil industry also.
