We've only come across one incident, but we'd heard about them previously; they are two pitts belong to one owner. They don't play but they stalk and attack dogs-and they bring them to the dog park. I kicked the dog to get it off Mikey-was not doing real damage at that point but was getting there and Mikey was upset. Owners were of course walking away already. Then we called Mikey and chased the dog off. When we see them coming, we just go in another direction and keep an eye.
Sad-becasue it could be any breed who does that, but these sh8%head owners are giving pitts a bad rap (not to mention that they are restricted here, and are not even allowed in dog parks, or out with no muzzle for that matter!!!) | Report them...I hate to say things like that but like you said, its people like this who have dogs that get out and kill something or someone and give the bad rap. If you see then again, call the cops. |

After one request, the city divided Candlelight Park in West Eugene last year. However, said Foerstler, dog owners ignored the rules and often brought large dogs in the small breed area.
| Just noticed that rereading the article *rolls eyes* OF COUSE-ignore safety rules... Quote: |

| We did, but they said because they had left the dog park they couldn't do anything. We are hoping to inconspicuously follow them to the parking lot-get their plates (Don't worry-Dave is big LOL he'll protect me!) Then report again-and possibly post posters in the dog park-ie. description of them, dogs, lisence plates-look for them and report... | hahah...its just classical conditioning...have a solid recall...then when you hear a fight urgently call the dogs I'll say like "kiwi!kiwi!kiwi!" and gesture wildly (so they can see/hear you......and reward when they do...eventually they skip waiting for you to call them. Fight= recall=treats |

| I noticed Emmy seems to do better with smaller dogs and she seems to hate some big dogs and some really fluffy dogs (she will bark constantly at the big dane sized ones, you can see she is visibly nervous, the ones with the mushy faces startle her when they make noises and she is all like "get away from me" too at them :P) and at our dog park, we have two sections, but really only one for winter, one for the warm months, but it gives the option for people to take their dogs to one area or another if they don't want to be around some dogs (except during winter). But I stopped taking Emmy after while because she was just not having fun anymore. She was constantly snapping at other dogs, and more and more dogs she didn't like would come and owners would not even watch their dogs(just would sit there talking to eachother not even occasionally seeing about their dogs). the dogs then would come around her and not leave her alone to the point where i could see her getting so agitated that i knew fur would go flying at any time, so I had to just take her out, cus the owners were all so oblivious to everything.then I always would get tense when we went, so she picked up on it, etc. it was just not worth it anymore.

~MSE | i have a lot of pet peeves that are sort of thrown in my face whenever i go to a dog park...the biggest thing is people not supervising their dogs!!!!
last night we went and i was surprised that people were supervising...
yay! but i shouldn't be surprised at that, it should just happen... |

| atleast you acknowledge it tho...there is this one lady who brings her dog to the park, her dog doesn't really like being there...she doesn't hate it, but she doesn't like interacting with the other dogs...so she keeps bringing her then whenever her dog gets overwhelmed by everybody she goes over and flaps her hands all around the dog's head...says she is breaking up the negative energy...lol...sheesh! |
