| Missing Dog - Please Help!!! Sometime between the hours of 3am and 9am, my three year old German Shepherd, Shade, went missing from our home.
Occassionally he would go visit our neighbours with our crossed dog, but he is the only that is gone.
I do not if he decided to wander this one time and he was picked up then, or if he was taken, but any help in returning my boy to me would be appreciated to no end.
He is a big dog, weighing in at around 90 pounds. He is a silver back, with grey under his muzzle. His left ear cartilidge is weak, so it flops over. He is extremely friendly and adores any sort of attention.
He is my best friend, and my heart is breaking.
Please, if you have any information as to the whereabouts of Shade, please let me know.
Shade has gone missing from the Newbrook area, just off Highway 63. It's about an hour and a half north of Edmonton.
Reward offered.

| Thank you everyone.
Unfortantely, it was a fruitless day today.
I phoned the Boyle/Westlock/Athabasca vet clinics as well as by law officers and SPCA Offices, and so far bobody has turned him in.
I put up posters all through those areas, with no such luck yet either.
Mikey, yes, I'm in Northern Alberta. About an hour and a half north of Edmonton.
I have missing ad for him on Kijiji already, but I will check out those other links.
Brittany, he had his collar with both my cell phone number and house number, but it was found outside so he doesn't have it on. I have been meaning to get him microchipped but hadn't done it yet... The only thing that can for sure identify him (aside from me, the tricks we know together, and his odd silver colouring) is his floppy left ear.
I feel so useless just sitting here but I don't know what else I can do right now. None of my neighbours have seen him either yet, so I'm assuming he must have been picked up. I only hope it was to help him, not to steal him, because I'm not sure if I'd ever find him then.
I feel like a huge piece of my heart has been ripped out and left empty. God, I miss him so much already. |

| Could he normally get his collar off? I wonder if he was stolen? Get posters to all the vets in the area...let them know he might be stolen and to watch for someone else bringing him in. Huskies and GSD's are the most stolen dogs here in Edmonton...that was actually my first though when you said he was gone.
I'm sending LOTS and LOTS of {{FINDING HIM}} vibes!!! *HUGS* |

| No such luck, Mikey.
Sid, our Rottie cross, tend to grab ahold of his collar while they're playing and he can get it off Shade sometimes. I didn't want to put it on TOO tight in case Sid decided to really yank and start choking Shade.
Put up posters in the Smoky Lake, Athabasca, Westlock, Boyle, Thorhild, Newbrook, Rochester, Wabamun areas but so far nothing.
I'm 100% sure that he was picked up by someone. He was never a wanderer, and for him to decide so within 5 hours seems really odd. That's just discouraging because if whoever took him really wants him, the odds of me finding him are slim to none. But I'm not giving up.
Next week our meter guys come so I'm going to give them a picture of Shade because they travel to every house around here. They might see him.
My local vet is also keeping her eye out because she's a travelling vet.
Within the last month or so, there's been a littler of Border Collie and Pitbull puppies that have gotten stolen, so someone out there is doing it.
I pity the person who has Shade if I ever find them, that's all I gotta say.
I'm not giving up, and if he's around here, I'll find him sooner or later. |
