very sad

The dog's usually so good. He must have just had a moment of madness. We think he might have been jealous of the baby.'
bothers me. Iam sorry, the dog simply thought the baby was a prey item IMO.

Plus I don't think that dogs get jealous

Wow what a beautiful house.

Sad story, I wonder what happened before the attack, was the child screaming, was the dog looking through the window, etc etc.

Totally believe the breed-I believe BC's are in the top 5 for dog bites...with labs and other dogs you'd never see in the media and getting bsl'd
My mom's BC was feircely protective of her-they had to be really careful so he didn't maul someone (had a thing about men-fearful aggression and to boot was protective) -he was a great dog, but he could have bit someone for sure.

I really hope the kid is ok, and maybe the parents or someone learned a lesson?

Quote:
His mother Patricia had left her son in the Vauxhall Vectra estate for a matter of minutes while she popped into the house when the dog jumped in.
His parents rushed out after hearing William's screams and the six-year-old dog was wrestled off the baby.

The baby was left alone with a dog-even for a moment. That's how kids drown, get hit by cars... Sad

ditto this... i'll never understand what people are thinking, and they usually admit to doing so in such a way as to deny that this is ultimately the mistake that led to whatever tragedy... very sad...

Yeah exactly-I'm not pointing blame but this could have been avoided-should have been avoided.
