This weekend in Laveen (35th ave / Southern) a family left their 2-yr old in the car for "...a couple of hours..." The baby wasn't quite as lucky as the corgi.

It is likely the reason he got his dog back was because a dog is considered property in addition to being a living creature.

Most of the time this (being property that is owned) is a good thing.

It was 98 degrees F last week so heaven forbid any dog was left in a car My mom knows someone who left her toddler in the car for 2 minutes and she died You never forgive yourself for something like that.

I really don’t understand some people every summer there are many cases of people who either live their animal companion or even child in a hot car. I recall reading something a few years ago of a man that left his 2 year old in a car while he went to see a movie. I don’t remember if the child died or not.

That's sick At least the dog was ok!

I'm always worried because my car runs so quiet that people will think I've left my dog in the car with the windows up-but that's because it's locked, alarmed and running full blast
We all know-getting into a car even when it's like 50/16 degrees (f/c) if it's in the sun it's boiling hot and the seatbelts are smoking hot. How could you leave an animal in there??

I remember vaguely -I can't remember if it was on here, must have been. The guy was a cop and left his dog in the car and it died, so he was charged with I think killing an officer? Anyone remember that?
