Dog flu...brace yourself...Is an Airborne virus. I am not sure how long it can live outside of the body, but it only takes one to get the flu started.

I figure that Missy got the virus at the Vet, of maybe from just going out to go potty ( there are many dogs in this neighborhood). She was the initial infection in my house. A dog that is infected with the virus also goes for several days shedding the virus before they show any symptoms. So...when i saw Missy come down with it, I just prepared for the possibility that Cleo was sick also. Essentially Cleo was probably already infected by the time Missy showed signs.
