(This is my bf's best friends' dog)
Shiloh was a GSD and a wonderful dog, and a farm dog. She used to venture across the street to play with the dogs the neighbors had.
This past weekend they were out of town and she must have gone over. When she was missing they went looking for her there-calling and checking all sheds and other barns-to no avail.
Turns out she got into the garage (Didn't answer calling) and got stuck in it. She got thirsty and chewed into a container of glass cleaner for cars (anti-freeze is highly toxic).
Anti freeze poisioning in kids or dogs or whatever-for any reading-can be treated immediately by administering Vodka (seriously) as it neutralizes the product formed by antifreeze.
BUT Shiloh was not found until a day after she ingested this. They rushed her to emerg and they did what they could but it was too little too late.
Many farm dogs in my area are not well looked after, not loved, not family members...BUT Shiloh was. And she is sadly missed. She had a hard passing. Please wish her easy passing to the rainbow bridge...and send healing vibes to her family who misses her dearly.
